Continence Clinic - Service Overview

This service assists you to manage bladder and bowel problems such as frequency, urgency, retention, constipation and mild pelvic organ prolapse.

Our understanding and caring community nurses have specialised skills in incontinence issues and can link you to other support services including our Dietitian, Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapists.

Clients can self-refer however a G.P. referral is preferred.

Child Continence

A children’s continence clinic nurse will see children of all ages. They will work with the family to assess and treat children who have:

  • Enuresis (bed-wetting)

  • Help parents set goals in pre-schoolers

  • Assess and treat for Constipation

  • Assist with toilet refusal

  • Order NDIA supplies through SWEP (client negotiated plan with NDIS)
