We are seeking a passionate and experienced Manager to lead our Quality and Risk team. This role is integral to Bellarine Community Health and will oversee the organisation’s compliance framework, and the multiple accreditation standards that our compliance is measured against.

This Full Time position is based at Point Lonsdale on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula.

About the Team

Bellarine Community Health’s Quality and Risk team oversee the BCH quality and safety framework, which provides a comprehensive overview of the organisation’s clinical, community and corporate governance.

Our quality and safety systems are managed with clear lines of accountability, and we strive to achieve continuous improvement in our performance and service delivery. We listen to the voices of our clients to ensure we are meeting their needs.

About the role

The Manager, Quality and Risk will lead, progress, implement and monitor BCH wide quality improvement programs, quality compliance systems and risk management.  The role is responsible to lead accreditation processes across all BCH programs and oversee legislative changes and compliance to assist in the risk management strategy for BCH.

The key responsibilities of this role include legislative compliance, risk management, quality standards and accreditation across all program areas of BCH. For more information about the specific responsibilities of this role, please see the Position Description.

We would like to hear from you, if you…

  • Hold formal qualifications in Quality Management and/or Auditing
  • Have relevant experience in quality, risk, accreditation and reporting – including the preparation and submission of applications, the provision of risk management strategies in a community setting, and the ability to apply a quality lens to reporting
  • Have current knowledge of legislation applicable to community health settings as well as emerging legislative changes and potential impacts
  • Have demonstrated knowledge and application of CQI processes with a community and aged care context
  • Possess a demonstrated understanding of the social determinants of health and demonstrated experience in evidence-based quality service provision
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills, organisational, administration and time management skills
  • Have a demonstrated ability to engage staff in quality performance, risk management and training
  • Are proficient in basic computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets and internet usage
