A key first step of this project was our ‘design process!’.
Over three months in 2022, we met with each of our three Active OUR Way communities to discuss and plan their design process.
In total, we heard from:
- Over 120 students who participated in face-to-face design workshops.
- Over 380 students completed an AOW Student survey
- 13 teachers (including 3 school Principals)
- 7 parents and carers
A number of different questions were asked using interactive activities, games, drawing and design and voting! Students drew and designed their own Active OUR Way activities and thought of ways to make their activities fun and welcoming for all.
In total we heard from:
- 218 students from Leopold Primary School (grades 4, 5 & 6)
- 45 students from St Leonard’s Primary School (grades 3, 4, 5 & 6)
- 220 students from Portarlington Primary School (whole school).
