Adult Counselling

Providing short to medium term counselling for adults (aged over 25 years). Working in partnership with you the counsellor will help you to identify your goals and match the therapy approach that best meet you needs. Your counsellor will discuss the number of sessions that will best support you and how often these sessions are held.

Youth & Family Counselling

We can provide assessment, support and education in maintaining and improving emotional health. Our mental health professionals are able to support and educate young people and their families in the following areas either through individual and family counselling.

Child Counselling

We provide psychological support to children who are experiencing a range of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. We work with children aged from 0 to 12 years and their caregivers using a range of evidence-based modalities including individual and family play therapy, and counselling, grounded in humanistic and attachment focused approaches that honour a child’s developmental stage, ways of communicating and unique needs.

Children and families may be referred to our mental health service to:

  • Build a child’s self-esteem and develop competence and mastery
  • Reduce a child’s stress/distress
  • Process challenging or traumatic experiences
  • Increase a child’s ability to regulate their emotions
  • Encourage open communication and build trust
  • Increase problem solving abilities and foster learning
  • Strengthen important relationships e.g. parents/caregivers/teachers
  • Support social connection
  • Provide parenting support and education to parents/caregivers

Child Referral

Referral for Mental Health Support could be considered if your child is experiencing, or has experienced social, emotional and/or behavioural issues including:

  • Low mood
  • Anxiety/fearfulness
  • Impulsiveness
  • Aggression
  • Emotional dysregulation
  • Low self esteem
  • Social withdrawal
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Family breakdown
  • Exposure to trauma resulting in distress
