Bellarine Community Health is currently recruiting for a Dentist – 1 FTE (5 days per week/ 8 hours per day with monthly ADO). Part time / job share will be considered.

About us
Bellarine Community Health (BCH) is the major provider of primary health care services to the Bellarine Peninsula. BCH is a not-for-profit health care provider with close links to our community operating from five sites – in Drysdale (two sites), Ocean Grove, Point Lonsdale and Portarlington and in community settings across the Bellarine. BCH delivers a broad scope of health services and wellbeing programs for all people in our diverse communities.
About the team
We are a professional, supportive and friendly team of Dentists, Oral Health Therapist, Oral Health Educators, Prosthetist and Dental Assistants. We are accredited and committed to providing a high quality, personalised service based on patient’s needs. Our dental service provides general and emergency dental care, providing care to both public and private patients at an affordable cost and offering an inclusive dental pathway for patients with Autism or Intellectual Disability.
Our dental service is based at our Point Lonsdale site in a modern state of the art facility and provides outreach in community settings such as schools and pre-schools. We operate Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm.
About the role
The Dentist role involves:
- Providing oral health assessments, develop personalised treatment plans, and play an essential role in educating patients about their oral health.
- Performing general dental work including, examination, investigation, treatment planning and dental treatment.
- Providing a patient-centred approach.
- Supporting the delivery of excellent oral health care for our community.
- Working collaboratively as a member of the dental team.
To be successful you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Dental and registration with AHPRA.
- Current radiation licence.
- Demonstrated clinical work experience in general dentistry.
- Excellent diagnostic skills and proficiency in a wide range of dental procedures.
- Strong commitment to patient care and education.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of the dental team.
- A passion for clinical excellence.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Commitment to professional development.
