Donate your cans to BCH

Exciting news to share – BCH is officially registered as an approved donation partner for Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS).  This is a great opportunity to not only raise funds for BCH but also be part of the recycling community and support efforts towards reducing our carbon footprint.

The Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) provides a 10-cent refund for every eligible drink container returned at refund points across Victoria. Every bottle can and carton that is deposited helps reduce the amount of rubbish going into landfill.

As a registered charity with the CDS you can help BCH raise funds for the establishment of outdoor spaces at the new Health & Wellbeing Hub in Ocean Grove, including a children’s assessment and therapy space and staff outdoor spaces.

The Health & Wellbeing Hub will be dedicated to meeting the needs of children and young people on the Bellarine. Construction of the building has been designed in two stages, and BCH is seeking further funding to complete stage two. Four18 Architects are the appointed architects and Loaram Constructions the builder for the project.

By donating your cans and bottles you will be supporting us to create much needed outdoor spaces on the new site.

The steps to deposit your cans and donate are simple:
  • Download the CDS Vic West App on your mobile phone
  • Search under ‘charities’ for Bellarine Community Health
  • Set BCH as your payout
  • Collect your eligible cans and bottles and then head to a collection station (Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Leopold and Drysdale)
  • Open the App on your phone and scan your personal barcode then follow the prompts to transfer your funds to BCH
